What Impact You’ll Have:

The Benefits Administrator is a key member of GRVTY’s People & Culture team, responsible for the day-to-day administration, optimization, and strategic support of the company’s health and welfare benefits programs. This role ensures that benefit offerings are competitive, compliant, and aligned with GRVTY’s people-first culture and business objectives.

This position requires hands-on benefits administration experience, strong ADP expertise, and the ability to manage carrier relationships, file feeds, and complex data with precision. The Benefits Administrator will report to a Senior Manager, People & Culture, and partner closely with People Business Partners, Payroll, Finance, and external vendors to deliver an exceptional employee experience.

This role will also play a critical part in mergers and acquisitions, supporting benefits integration and ensuring smooth transitions for employees joining GRVTY through growth and acquisition.

What You’ll Be Owning:

Benefits Administration & Management

  • Administer and support GRVTY’s health and welfare benefit programs, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support the development and execution of benefits strategies that balance employee needs, market competitiveness, and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate benefits data across ADP Workforce Now and carrier systems.

Employee Support & Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions, issues, and escalations, providing timely, accurate, and empathetic support.
  • Process benefit enrollments, qualifying life events (QLEs), and coverage changes in ADP Workforce Now with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Develop and deliver clear benefits communications, including guides, FAQs, presentations, and employee education materials.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

  • Support benefits integration efforts during mergers and acquisitions in partnership with People & Culture, Payroll, and Finance.
  • Conduct benefit plan comparisons, support compliance alignment, coordinate enrollment transitions, and assist employees through onboarding and plan migration.

Billing & Reconciliation

  • Review and reconcile monthly benefits invoices against ADP enrollments and carrier records to ensure accuracy and timely payment.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies with vendors and internal partners.
  • Review payroll benefit deductions to confirm alignment with carrier invoices.

Compliance

  • Ensure benefits programs comply with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, and applicable tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes and support updates to programs, processes, and communications as needed.

Vendor & Broker Management

  • Support relationships with benefits vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators.
  • Monitor service levels, issue resolution, and overall vendor performance.

Enrollment & Reporting

  • Support annual open enrollment and ongoing benefits administration activities.
  • Analyze benefits utilization, costs, and employee feedback to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare reporting and insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Wellness, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Assist with the development and promotion of wellness initiatives supporting physical, mental, and financial well-being.
  • Partner closely with Compensation, People Business Partners, Payroll, and Finance to ensure data accuracy and seamless benefits operations.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve workflows, and enhance the overall employee benefits experience.

Work Environment

  • This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of three days per week onsite at GRVTY’s headquarters in Tysons, VA, or one day in the Dulles office. Occasional travel may be required for training, integration activities, or cross-office initiatives.

What You Must Have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of benefits administration experience
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Strong experience with ADP Workforce Now required
  • Experience supporting M&A benefits integration preferred
  • Experience managing benefits in a multi-state and/or global environment preferred
  • CEBS, PHR, SPHR, or similar certification preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, and related regulations
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Proven experience with vendor management, billing reconciliation, and benefits operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
