What You'll be Owning

GRVTY is seeking a Full Stack Developer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Chantilly, VA. The Senior Developer will be supporting a backend development team focused primarily on middleware and backend services.

What You Must Have

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance (acceptable to this customer)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
  • Intermediate to Expert level experience in Solr or Elastic Search (minimum 3 years), and possessing:
    • Experience performing schema updates
    • Significant knowledge & experience in submitting Lucene queries
    • Significant knowledge & experience on how Solr/Elastic shards work
    • Significant experience tuning Solr/Elastic for performance and query optimization
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a big data environment using tools such as Hadoop, Pyspark, Spark, and Hbase (prefer at least two of the list)
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on, back-end Java development experience (not Javascript or Springboot) implementing code that undergoes code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and deployed to a production environment

What Would be Nice to Have

  • Demonstrated experience working with several AWS services
  • Demonstrated experience with JIRA and GITHUB
