What Impact You'll Have

The Senior Information Assurance Engineer provides expert technical services on all aspects of Information Security. Responsible for writing information security policy drafts, writing and reviewing Memorandum of Agreements and coordinating and managing all aspects of the Certification and Accreditation.

What You'll be Owning

  • Experience in heterogeneous computer networking technology and work in protocol and/or interface standards specification is preferred. Analyzes and resolves INFOSEC technical problems. Configures testbeds and conducts testing, records and analyzes results, and provides recommendations for improvements for the products/systems under test. Areas of focus include Guard, Firewall, Secure Network Server, PCMCIA format, security solutions, “Smart Cards”, and emerging technologies and future trends. Supports the integrations of INFOSEC solutions and technologies into networks with particular attention to protocols, interfaces, and system design.

What You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience OR Master’s degree and 10 years of experience.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related scientific or technical discipline.
  • Eight years of related DoD, Military, or US Government related experience.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, information security/authorization profiles, or security administration of Unix or NT network/systems.
  • Knowledge of Government security policies and familiarity with security-related technologies and auditing tools.
  • Capable of providing security engineering analysis on a variety of information systems.
  • Capable of developing security accreditation/certifications documentation and creating maintaining security policy and procedures.
  • Capable of performing security certification engineering analysis, vulnerability assessments, and risk assessments.
  • Capable of designing and configuring security tools and developing test procedures, establishing test environment, executing security certification test/ demonstrations /evaluations, documenting results, and developing reports, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Capable of conceptualizing and implementing security systems and architectures.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI.
  • US Citizenship required.

What Would be Nice to Have

  • IAT II Certification
  • Experience with Army TENCAP, Space ISR systems, or expeditionary ground station concepts.
