What You'll be Owning

GRVTY is seeking a Technical Operations PM with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Sterling, VA. The Technical Program Manager will work across multiple stakeholders to support operational project planning, engineering services, logistics, and deployment of wide-ranging solutions to project teams. The Technical Program Manager will develop, coordinate, and enact execution plans related to all aspects of these complex, multi-faceted efforts. The work includes managing the delivery of technical solutions through the entire development lifecycle. Work will also include engagement with in­ house development teams to drive delivery of project team solutions to meet mission requirements and the ability to communicate the status of those deliveries to the project teams as well as to the home component.

Strong technical management and coordination skills are essential. This position requires outstanding communication skills (both oral and written), the proven ability to work effectively with stakeholders, negotiate viable paths forward across organizational boundaries, attention to detail, and understanding of mobile and network-based technologies.

Duties:

  • The duties required by the Technical Program Manager are performed in coordination with the Sponsor and require making cooperative decisions about the direction and execution of project resources, planning and implementation of networks and services, negotiation of and adaptation to various organizational policies and regulations, and accountability for outcomes including corporate interests.

This Technical Program Manager performs the following core functions:

  • Define and document the implementation of technical requirements to properly address stakeholder needs
  • Engage with stakeholders to track, provide status, and drive requirements to resolution.
  • Organize and ensure alignment of program resources to mission need
  • Develop and maintain, or oversee the development and maintenance of appropriate project documentation
  • Identify, document, and track dependencies and actions across multiple partners
  • Demonstrate the following: o Ability to develop and maintain appropriate project documentation in a clear, concise fashion. o Outstanding interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Maintain appropriate technical training to ensure skills and methodologies are kept current with evolving technology
  • Performs other duties as assigned at the direction of Project Management
  • Core Hours: 9AM-3PM; arrival and departure time flexible with management approval.
  • Infrequently may need to flex to meet deadlines or attend meetings with personnel in other time zones.
  • Travel: Periodic travel (up to 25% possible for specific project team support}

What You Must Have

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 11 years' experience, or 15 years with no degree
  • Bachelor's degree must be related to the specific skill from an accredited college or university, preferred. Relevant work experience related to the labor category may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Willingness and ability to travel on trips of 3-5 days duration to support requirements.
  • Experience performing Technical Coordination duties with demonstrated success in achieving programmatic milestones and handling problem resolution.
  • Experience briefing stakeholders and other varying levels of management on project requirements and timelines.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or Information Systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting software and hardware issues.

What Would Be Nice to Have

  • Experience with mobile platforms (iOS, Android, etc.)
  • Experience with telecom solutions, and details related to configuring and using VPNs, two-factor authentication, and related technologies
  • Willingness and ability to travel on trips of 5-7 days duration to support technical and operational requirements.
  • Experience deploying systems in external environments.
